1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship Program will be awarded to students in any STEM related degree. Students must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the 2024-2025 academic year. Applicants must be: an enrolled citizen or a descendant of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or descendant from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or descendant from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada. Enrollment documents and/or a copy of birth certificate(s) showing descendancy from an enrolled citizen, Indigenous group of Canada, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander are acceptable. Applicants may also, instead, provide a copy of their Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or Certificate of Degree of Alaska Native Blood (CDIB) card. Please note, AISES may not always have scholarships available for non-citizens of the United States. Applicants must also be current AISES members at the time of application. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation and three essays. The scholarship applications will be reviewed by AISES reviewers who score each application based upon factors such as applicant potential to contribute to their communities, academic performance (GPA and academic record), the student's personal essay, strength of recommendation letters, and other extracurricular affairs the student has undertaken including jobs, volunteer efforts, internships, culturally related activities, etc. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
