1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The NYS Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to children, spouses, and financial dependents of deceased firefighters, volunteer firefighters, police officers, peace officers (including NYS Correction Officers), and emergency medical service workers who have died on the job. This scholarship covers the average cost of attendance, not to exceed the average cost of attendance at a state-operated SUNY or the actual cost of attendance, whichever is less. This scholarship will be awarded for 2 years to students pursuing associates degree full-time; 4 years to students pursuing bachelor's degree full-time; and 5 years to students in approved five-year degree programs. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, students with qualified disabilities who attend less than full-time must register with their college office for students with disabilities.
