The Kosciuszko Foundation Studies and Research Grants awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students to study full-time at Polish universities and for undergraduate and postgraduate research at state universities and institutes in Poland. Scholarships are awarded for: graduate and postdoctoral research in Poland; teaching fellowships; and undergraduate and graduate full-time studies at Polish public universities. The scholarship includes 1,800 PLN per month from NAWA as well as $750 per month from the Kosciuszko Foundation. The scholarship is paid out in installments after arrival in Poland. For graduate and postdoctoral research in Poland, applicants must be graduate students and/or research staff. They must hold at least a Master's degree or equivalent at the time of application; or advanced post-doctoral fellows, instructors and assistant professors (or equivalent). For undergraduate and graduate studies at Polish public universities, applicants must be students currently enrolled in full-time studies at public universities in Poland. They must be students enrolled as International Students. Selection is based on academic excellence, motivation, and the need to pursue studies and research in Poland. Candidates who intend to conduct studies in Poland must submit an essay and a certificate of enrollment in their studies and candidates who intend to conduct research in Poland must submit a proposal of their research project and a letter of invitation from the host institution. Applicants must also provide the names and email addresses of two individuals who can serve as recommenders for the scholarship. The authors of the letters should be the two individuals who can best speak to the applicant's ability to carry out the project being proposed; and they should discuss the applicant's intellectual and professional preparation.
