The Chester Dale Fellowships are intended for individuals whose fields of study are related to the fine arts of the Western world and who are preferably United States citizens under the age of 40. The grants, which typically cover periods from three months to one year, are for research at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Three letters of recommendation are required, at least one academic and one professional.
